This is our "Tree”, luxuriously soft, long cashmere wrap printed from an original etching plate, cast in gypsum to add layers and textures, which really come to life at such a large scale. We’ve just added a fine mustard ribbon trim to each end, which really compliments the mono-tones. The trim is shown in the product detail.
We hand wrap each cashmere wrap in one of our more sustainable silk pouches (made using off-cuts from our “Tree” silk scarves), so it arrives looking special and provides a great way to store your scarf. Both packing and postage is included in the price shown.
“TREE” COLOUR STORY
The rings of a cut tree are wondrous. Each one is unique and tells it’s own story. The beauty of the curved lines with their fine textures and uneven edges is hard to capture as a drawing. But, etching plates with their carved graphic lines and inky burrs work really well. There are two tree etchings that have been used on our long cashmere wrap and silk scarves. I particularly love the mono-tone abstract nature of the marks which become almost animal-like when taken really big.
