This is our Tides large silk scarf printed to 130cm x 130cm.
The image is taken from our “Tides” painting onto gypsum; creating wonderfully abstract textures on a large scale. Trimmed with a deep indigo coloured chiffon edging for extra contrast.
 
We hand wrap this beautiful large silk scarf in one of our gorgeous silk pouches (made using off-cuts from our “Tree” silk scarves), so it arrives looking special and provides a great way to store your scarf. Both packing and postage is included in the price shown.

“TIDES” COLOUR STORY
Inspired by long walks along the Jurassic Coast in Dorset, my Tides painting started as a series of colour sketches, before being painted on cast plaster.  Indigo, slate, teal and chalk reflect the colours of the local seascape with a splash of ochre for the little boats seen bobbing in the water. The plaster effectively transforms the brighter colours into chalkier tones, which really captures the coastal palette. The textures and mark-making are greatly magnified and create wonderfully abstract detail on a large scale over our silk and cashmere art scarves.
